All examples use fictional data. AI results are illustrative: review them before saving.
Sign up and save your first record
myOS uses its own email and password accounts, not Google sign-in or Google Drive sync. Signing into the same account on another device downloads your encrypted server records.
- Enter an email and a password of at least eight characters. Read the terms and acknowledge responsibility for your recovery code.
- Copy the recovery code shown after registration or download its TXT file. Automatic downloads can be blocked: verify that the file actually exists and keep it separately.
- Open Input and choose manual input. Select a category and a new or existing destination, enter a title and body, then save with the final input button.
New records and existing destinations
Create projects, study records, life or finance records, notes and ideas, or attach content to an existing destination. Choose the category first to narrow the destination list. Hiding a menu in Settings does not delete its records.
Enable schedule input when a record needs a date. Set its start date and, if needed, time, end date and end time. Leave scheduling off for an undated note. Add appends a separate content entry; Edit changes the title and body.
- Example input
- Category: Project / New / Title: Spring exhibition / Body: Compare venue options
- Result to check
- A project named Spring exhibition is created. Later, choose that destination to append a quotation note. An undated note does not automatically become a task for today.
Date ranges and recurrence
Set a start and an end on one schedule to represent a multi-day event, rather than creating one record per day. It appears when selecting dates inside that range.
Recurrence supports days, weeks, months or years with an interval of 1–99. For every two weeks, select weeks and interval 2. Complex exception rules and automatic banking-business-day adjustments are not available. Check the next occurrence after saving.
- Example input
- Title: Study camp / Start: 2026-10-22 09:00 / End: 2026-10-23 18:00
- Result to check
- One event spans October 22–23. A reading group starting October 8, 2026 and repeating every two weeks next occurs on October 22.
AI input: review the proposal
In Settings, choose Gemini, OpenAI or Groq, enter your own API key and complete the connection check. AI input stays unavailable for an unverified provider. The connection check itself consumes a provider request.
Category and existing destination choices are available in AI mode too. Generate a draft, then check the short title, category, destination, start, end and repeat interval before saving. Relative dates depend on the reference date and time zone. Date interpretation currently uses Asia/Seoul; outside Korea, specify the year, month, day and time explicitly.
The provider receives your input and context including category and candidate destination titles and IDs. AI review sends completed and overdue task titles plus project and idea information. Do not include secrets. Review output is a temporary screen result, not a separately synced record. Some generated results may be in Korean. Gemini API requires users to be at least 18 and in supported regions; API clients offered in the EEA, UK or Switzerland must use paid services. A free key alone does not establish eligibility.
- Example input
- Study camp from October 22, 2026 at 09:00 to October 23 at 18:00.
- Result to check
- Check one Study camp event spanning 10/22 09:00–10/23 18:00. Correct a missing end manually. Currently one draft is produced per input: enter unrelated events separately. For repetition, separately enter Reading group every two weeks from October 8, 2026 and verify its interval. AI results are not guaranteed.
Complete and undo on Home
Upcoming schedules use the next-week window from today. Selecting another calendar date does not move that window. Click a schedule row to complete it; use its right-side edit button to change the content.
For a mistaken completion, expand the completed schedules list and click the item again. Completed overdue tasks remain struck through for seven days after completion, then disappear only from that list. Incomplete overdue tasks remain. Check individual occurrences for recurring schedules.
Selecting a calendar date displays its schedules and D-days, including events spanning that date. Holiday country in Settings is independent of the interface language. Changing it does not reschedule your personal events.
Projects, notes, life and finance
Open a project or study record to see its content entries and linked schedules. Progress is manually adjustable. Notes and ideas linked to a project can be reached from that project.
Edit changes the title and body of life and finance records. Finance organizes paydays and card settlement dates: it does not connect to a bank, transfer money, import statements or provide financial advice. Check the scope of linked schedule deletion before deleting a record.
Vault and quick copy
Enter a service name, account and a secret such as a password or API key in the vault. Favorite frequently used entries to show them in Home's quick copy. Quick copy copies the secret value, not the account name.
Check the destination app before pasting. Do not use keep-me-signed-in on shared devices. Copied secrets enter the operating system clipboard and may be accessible to other apps. The operator cannot look up encrypted secrets or tell you a forgotten password.
Tables, links and images
Insert a table with the editor's table tool and edit its cells directly. Tab-separated data copied from a spreadsheet can also be pasted. Check headers and row/column alignment afterwards. AI table generation sends your table request to the selected provider.
You can add website and YouTube links. Opening external media requests content from its provider. Image or video display can fail because of the URL or security policy. There is no general file attachment storage; only a profile image can be uploaded.
Profile originals are limited to 8 MB and 40 million pixels and are resized before storage. Current server limits are 10 MiB of ciphertext per account and 384 KiB per record. Split large bodies and tables.
- Example input
- Columns: Item | Budget / Rows: Venue | 50000, Materials | 20000
- Result to check
- One header row and two data rows. Amounts are entered values, not automatic accounting calculations or actual payments.
D-days and anniversaries
In D-day or Input, set a title and reference date, then choose days remaining until that date or days elapsed since it. Enable annual display for an anniversary.
Registered D-days appear on the right of Home. The reference date is highlighted in the calendar and its D-day appears before other schedules for that date. It is not a normal task completion checkbox.
- Example input
- Title: Reading started / Reference: 2026-10-01 / Count since / Annual display
- Result to check
- See elapsed days and find October 1 on each year's calendar. To count down to an exam, use the until-date mode instead.
Troubleshooting and data protection
Settings → Data → Encrypted backup downloads a .myos file. It requires the same account's encryption key and does not replace your recovery code. Restore changes the current workspace, so keep a fresh backup first. AI 429 or quota error: check limits and billing in the provider console, retry later or save manually. A free key is not unlimited. For 401/403, verify the provider, key permissions and restrictions. For recurring request-format errors, send support only the error code and time.
Sync error: check internet and login status, then retry. Concurrent use of the same account on multiple devices is supported. Sync checks periodically; changes do not always propagate instantly. Choosing the server version in a conflict can replace local edits. Decide which version to keep first, and do not clear browser storage or immediately log out with unsynced work.
Missing photo: check Settings and sync status. Restoration is possible only if suitable encrypted profile history remains in that browser; it is not guaranteed. Without history, upload the original again.
Login failure: check email spelling and keyboard layout. Use the recovery TXT to set a new password. Losing both password and recovery code makes existing encrypted data unrecoverable. Account deletion in Settings revokes sessions and starts server deletion. Remove other devices' local copies and downloaded files yourself.
